Setacolor Light Fabrics is a water-based paint dedicated to decorating light-colored textiles. With its vibrant, matte, and luminous colors, it helps maintain the suppleness of fabrics. Setacolor Light Fabrics paints are intermixable and offer excellent lightfastness. They can be applied to most pre-washed fabrics, such as cotton, wool, cotton-wool blends, knits, jersey, velvet, jacquard, polyester, fiber blends, and non-wovens. The light texture of Setacolor Light Fabrics paint does not alter the suppleness and fineness of fabrics and can be used with multiple textile decoration techniques, such as brush, pipette, acetate, stamp, screen printing, and stenciling.
Setacolor Light Fabrics paints are ready-to-use, intense, and concentrated. They can be used pure or diluted with water to achieve watercolor effects. Diluted with water, they can be used for the sun-printing technique, with two parts water to one part paint. This technique involves painting a piece of fabric with this mixture, then covering certain areas with objects, plants, and exposing it to the sun. After drying, the areas hidden from the sun will be lighter. To fix Setacolor colors, simply iron the reverse side of the decorated fabric, pressing for 5 minutes and setting the iron temperature to "cotton" without steam.
It is also possible to place the piece of fabric in a household oven: after 5 minutes at 150°C, the colors are fixed. After fixing, the colors are machine washable, but dry cleaning is not recommended. The color chart also offers neon and glitter colors for all desires. The paint quality is water-based and the colors are matte, glittery, or fluorescent. Drying time is one hour in the air.
