Setacolor Opaque colours can be applied to pre-washed fabric: cotton, wool, cotton-wool, knitwear, jersey, velvet, jacquard, polyester, fibre blends, non-wovens and even leather.
They can be used pure or diluted with water to create watercolour effects. Their rich texture is particularly suited to a variety of textile decoration techniques: brush, pipette, stamp, screen printing, stencilling, etc.
Used with Setacolor auxiliaries, other effects can be achieved by combining techniques.
For airbrush use, make a first mixture of 50% water / 50% Setacolor lightening medium (ref 391014) which will serve as the dilution base. Then, make a second mixture with the chosen colour, 50% Setacolor Opaque paint / 50% of the first mixture for use in the airbrush.
To set Setacolor colours, iron the back of the decorated fabric, pressing for 5 minutes and setting the iron temperature to "cotton" position without steam. It is also possible to place the fabric in a domestic oven: after 5 minutes at 150°C, the colours are fixed. After fixing, the colours are machine washable. Dry cleaning is not recommended.
