Chroma's Jo Sonja Artists' Colours are flow formula acrylics offering the opacity of colour and beautiful velvet matte finish associated with traditional gouache as well as superb handling and brushing characteristics. Unlike gouache, they are water-resistant and will not chip or crack when cured.
Made from the finest quality pure pigments, the colours will stay vibrant and true for generations. They are safe, water-based, and clean up easily with soap and water.

Directions Drying time can be sped up with a hairdryer and warm/cool air blowing across the surface, but the colours have the added advantage of drying through each other so additional layers can be applied in minutes, without lifting the colour underneath. (Longer drying times may be necessary between layers when using certain mediums.)
Colours dry a little darker than they appear when wet, being approximately one value difference. They will lighten with the application of varnishes.
